Where are these boys!?
Hello old blog, it's nice to see you again. I have been following this case of the missing toddlers from Bakersfield, and California City, California from the beginning. I was so full of angst from the elections and the riots, and the capitol being stormed I had to jump into something to distract and somehow I stumbled on a case of 2 little boys.
Orrin (Cincere) is the oldest he was 4 years and 5 months when reported missing,
and
Orson (Classic) is the baby, he was 3 years and 6 months old at the time they were reported missing.
Today they would be 4 years and 9 months, and 3 years and 10 months respectively.
So they are nearly 4 and 5 years old now
those months of rapid growth in a young child can make a difference in their looks
The photos on the left were eventually given as updated images of the boys to use for flyers and other missing children medium.
The boys had been recently adopted in April of 2020, and reported missing from their back yard by their parents On December 21 of 2020. They were reported missing in the sprawling desert town of California City CA. A big city with low population, just north of Los Angeles. It is known as the largest city in California in land mass. The neighborhood the Wests live in is pretty isolated and baron especially during the winter months, it seems the landscape is tumble weeds, dried sage brush and tons of sand.
This is the neighborhood where the boys allegedly lived from September of 2020 until Dec of 2020
Two adorable little boys named by their birth mother as Cincere and Classic, seemingly, allegedly, just disappeared. The adoptive parents Trezell and Jacqueline West, in their one and only public interview, on Dec 23, 2 days after the boys went missing, said the boys were playing in the back yard with chalk on the cement slab of a small patio, and some how the boys disappeared
It was a cold evening, the sun was going down, the shadows were long, it was getting dark,
DECEMBER 21, 2020:
The night they went missing, the police were called and the neighbors came out in a panic, the adoptive parents stayed in the house, the neighbors and police searched the house and the yard and adjacent fields for hours, there were dogs and heat detecting helicopters brought in to search the surrounding area, the boys couldn't have gotten far on foot, yet there was no trace of them, no little foot prints leading out, no car tire tracks leading to the gate, or adult (abductor) foot prints inside the gate or out.
This is a closer look at the neighborhood, the red marker is the house, the blue green areas are the sandy desert lots next to the house, empty, barren, littered with garbage and dried brush. The only way to get out of that lot is to go toward the front of the house or the street in front. All lot's with homes have high privacy fences, with no access from the rear.
DECEMBER 22, 2020
The next day Dec 22, the search continued with the sun up and neighbors and others who had heard what had happened on the news came to help. By mid day The California city Police Department (CCPD) FBI, and Bakersfield Police Department (BPD) came back with a search warrant and went to the door with guns drawn. The search continued for the rest of the day and into the night searching the adjacent desert lots and neighborhood streets, up to a mile out on foot, with volunteers, FBI, BPD, and CCPD. Neighbors where questioned and some videos from security cameras were said to have been collected from neighbors that might shed light on what happened to the boys. Large bags were removed from the home, the couple were taken in for questioning by the FBI but were not arrested or detained, or interrogated they went voluntarily.
Search and rescue K-9s were brought in and stopped at the interior doors indicating that the children, never left the house, from any door.
The family's van was towed away to be gone over with a fine tooth comb.
The lack of physical forensic evidence inside the house indicating that that the scent of children was in the house, prompted the use of cadaver dogs, which also found nothing inside or out of the house or in the nearby fields. Several more searches were made, inside the house and out, including a total excavation of the back yard, by the FBI, and ground penetrating radar detection in the fields next to the house. The Police Chief of Kern County, Jon Walker, said in more than one interview that he suspected foul play, and had no evidence of it, and no evidence at all that the children left the house without being carried. He stated that the neighbors said they had never seen ANY children at the house. Later that statement was amended to, 1 neighbor had seen children but could not identify which ones or whose they were. In a later interview Chief stated that there was no indication that there ever were, any of the children in that house, inside or out. There were and currently are no suspects and everyone, and no one, is a POI
NOTE: there were 2 biological children, 2 adopted (the missing) and 2 other adopted children supposed to be living with the Wests at the time. The two adopted children that are not missing, were adopted before the 2 that went missing, or, 3 were adopted at the same time. Public statements made by adoptive family members are a little confusing.
In the crowd were neighbors, and freelance journalists recording the scene the night of the 2nd search on Dec 22. Someone livestreamed video of the search on Facebook until they had to switch off cameras with another friend, because the battery ran out, or she had used her time limit on Facebook for live streaming. These were locals, someone who knew someone and so on, saw the stream and realized who the missing boys were, and the Biological mother and father and their families were notified. According to a family member of the Biological mother, a group of family members, aunts, uncles, nieces, all were making arrangements to get to the search site but they were unable to make it there in time and planned for the next day to go (23rd). In a video from the site of the search, posted on Dec 22, by a quite reputable and dedicated youtuber and freelance journalist AV News Crew, Matt, Stated that "the bio parents are on their way here".
Neither the adoptive family nor their rather large extended family were ever seen to be searching or supporting any effort to find the boys, they seemed to be fine keeping their mouths shut and staying out of it. (more on that later).
DECEMBER 23, 2020, the boys are 2 days missing
