California City Missing Toddlers, Adoptive Parents Interview and Outcry from the Birth Parents of Orrin and Orson, West, Birth Names Classic and Cincere: A Transcript

https://youtu.be/0Rh4ORnYi4I

Most of the news videos on Youtube are edited , parts have been left out, background noise blocked out, So I had to watch several versions of them to get a transcript as accurate as I could. I wanted to specifically know what was being said in the background by the biological family and other bystanders. Their reaction to the situation is important, considering, the second place anyone would look is at the birth parents. For my own sanity, I needed to either clear their name (for me) or resign myself to the possibility, they could have the kids. Feel free to leave comments about what you think. What is your impression?

DECEMBER 23, 2020, the boys are 2 days missing

The Media Wants a Story, The Birth Family want answers

This interview was done reluctantly by their own words, the adoptive mother waggling and pointing her finger in a dismissive swoop at the Biological family, says " that's one of the reasons why we actually didn't want to do this (pointing at the Birth Family as they cry and demand answers to an explanation that makes no sense at all)

The crowd around the news interview included the Biological father and mother, aunts, uncles and cousins, and a former foster mother of the 2 boys, a  neighbors and others.

All  the bystanders began to realize the adoptive parents were lying and may have done the unthinkable to the boys,  and the biological family became agitated and asked very sternly for more clarity. It got pretty heated, passionate and very emotional. And the adoptive parents stood swaying, clutching themselves, nodding their heads and saying in a low voice , we understand, we understand, ...

Link to the best version  I could find, It is not the original copy or poster, showing the whole 13 minute interview and encounter with no editing, and no noise reduction in the back ground as far as I can tell, is below. If you  are boots on the ground and you own the original of this video feel free to contact me so I can give you credit and share a link.

Here is the statement as best as I could transcribe, don't worry about inflection while reading, there was no emotion other than frustration, so read it as if you don't want to read it, lots of sighing and deep breaths in and sharp blows out through flared nostrils. If you allow your aloof teenager to read the parent's parts, it's probably perfect

   A PUBLIC STATEMENT: Dec 23rd, 2020

The couple, Trezell and Jacqueline West, stands in front of reporters and cameras and microphones,

Trezell turns slightly in Jacqueline's direction and mutters quietly, "you go first"

Jacqueline begins:

uh,... we just want to thank everyone in the community for all the hel'-support we've seen, we've felt so helpless, and seeing everybody out here really looking and helping out really means a lot.

When the reporter asks, "tell us what happened the night the boys went missing",

the Adoptive Father, Trezell breathes in a deep sigh, groans, leans his upper torso back, with his arms tight across his chest and tightly tucked under his arms, a little like he's been body checked in slow motion, or he's an annoyed teenager being asked where he's been and why he smells like pot.
He speaks, in slow staccato rhythm reciting a bullet point list of short incomplete sentences, he has told over and over again until he is blue in the face....

The adoptive father, Trezell West  held his hands tight under his arms and across his chest for the entire 13-14 minute interview, he gestured with his head and eyes when referring to places around the house that he had allegedly searched for the boys. His wife Jacqueline, for most of the interview, swayed back and forth like a little girl in trouble trying to talk her way out of it. Like she's wearing momma's lipstick all over her face and denying she ever touched it, and she always stands just slightly behind him

Trezell:

uhhhg......"okay,"

Jacqueline: sighs and exclaims, almost quietly "ohhh, from our yard" or "oh my god"(?)

Trezell:

'kay,

" it was cold,..

I was going to make a fire.

There's a lot of wood in this, this area right here,

next to our house.

I open up the back gate,

I'm throwing wood,

bring it in side the house.

My wife's inside,

she's actually wrapping gifts,

so we thought......

it's.....it'd be

a good idea to, ...

let our youngest 2...

go outside, and let them

play with chalk on the back patio.

Do not let them go on the dirt in the back yard,

keep them close.

They was playin with chalk,

I came in the house,

I saw them there,

went in the house,

came back out,

I didn't see them now,

I immediately went back in, asked my wife did she see the boys? she said, no, that they should be outside playing with chalk. I said well..  I didn't see them,

so I came outside, and I started to search,

I searched the back yard

I searched the whole thing,

I realized that I left the gate opened

 and I panicked, I,

came inside the house,

searched the house,

me and my wife,

Once That, ,,,,

that didn't pan out,

I got in the van,

I looked down the street,

both directions

it was gettin' dark, gettin' cold

and I got in the van and I hit a bunch of corners,

I went down this street, I turned my light on,

I searched, I searched, I called their names.

Talked to a gentleman on the street on that side over there, he didn't see them

so then I came home and I told my wife we gotta call the cops, uh, it's gettin dark

and I need help,

we gotta get going,

so I called the cops.

the cops came,

the first thing they did was tell us to stay in the house,

so they could get a hold of us,

and they had us just sitting there.

and we wanted to keep searching

but everybody came out in droves! and I wanted to thank you guys that night but we couldn't go outside, (he is talking to the crowd of biological family and friends and neighbors)

Jacqueline: the cops, they told us the best are out here

Trezell:  the best are out here searchin, and we appreciate it and nobody ever could tel-we could never talk to anybody, and that was the issue.

J: We just want to thank everybody really, a-and

T: really, thank God (or thank you guys)!

J: so please if anybody has seen them, please call somebody now

T: If if, Call the cops, telephone, call California city police department, call them, let them know what you've seen, if you've seen anything.

Our boys, they.....they are going to be,....rambunctious OKAY? Uggggh!

They are going to be here, in this area and I would really like to go in the houses but it's not because I want to invade peoples' privacy, I just want to know if...

Jacqueline interjects: Make sure

Trezell redirects himself: make sure, that's it.

When asked by a reporter about the biological mother (who was present in the crowd) thinking there was foul play involved,

Reporter: "...she thinks that you guys did something"

Jacqueline: nnn-that's understandable

Trezell: that's understandable, I would think the same thing

J: Yep,

T: I mean that's exactly the point and , if we can find our, find our  babies well guess what? that's a no, and that's all I want is to find our babies, that's it,

And I talked to her (biological mother) this morning and I really wanted to tell her during that time(?) I am completely sorry because (turns his head toward the bio mother) we were entrusted with her children,

and they came to us

and they became

our children,

we named them,

they are

our children

and so we want them back,

so please if you just get back on your, what you guys are doing, we should be able to get a hold of somebody but they took all of our tech, so they  wanted to I guess, I, just, rule us out which makes sense, it's part of the investigation (mumbles under his breath) sooo that's pretty much it.

Female reporter Asks if they had talked to the police all night last night and allowed the police to search?

reporter: what did, did, so, you guys willfully gave them....

Jacqueline: shaking head as if to say no, but saying yes

Jacqueline: yes, everything!

Reporter: your technology?

Trezell interjects: YES!

reporter: the car?...

Trezell: yes.

reporter: how did they get a search warrant?

Trezell:  I, I, I don't see why they got one, but they got one

we would'a let them take anything, we would have let them take  everything, we let them come in and search with us, we asked them to come inside

Reporter:

What did they take?

Trezell: Just Tech, and that's it. like our phones. that's it.

Reporter: From the house?

As a large white box truck drives by it catches their attention and at the same time a biological  family member (later identified as an auntie) asks him something about not searching for the boys with the rest of the searchers.

Trezell asks the reporter if he should answer that.

Reporter says "answer it for us"

Trezell: okay, so, ...it, it took 'em, it took eh....I don't even know...okay I guess...

Jacqueline: (picking up the slack)

yeh, we truly felt like we needed to be out here, we did. uh, Again, we were told the best are out here looking already. Just stay put, they had more questions, there was literally a cop with us the whole time in there

Trezell: they had us sitting down,

we asked can we go help?

they had us sit down,

no, we've got the best out there.

J: interjects: so it's not like I want you guys thinking, we didn't try, we actually looked before we called the police.

More questions from a different reporter who asks

at what time did you guys notice your kids went missing?  and at what time were they reported missing to the police?

T: It was about, I believe, I think, it was about, 4:30 goin on 5 it was gettin dark like I said

Jacqueline interjects: 5 ish

Trezell corrects himself: 5 ish  that's about it, that's, that's when, everything played out

reporter: when did you guys call the police to report them missing?

 Trezell starts: I drove...

Jacqueline: interrupts him, almost nudging him, leaning in close and she says with a little urgency, while twirling her hand in the air to indicate the search area

Jacqueline: After we searched...

Trezell: yeh

Jacqueline: ...a little bit, around here, it was dark so we, we definitely were, we got worried

Reporter: would you say within an hour or a couple of hours?

Trezell: no! it was within minutes of us gettin' finished with our search, within minutes

Reporter: What do you guys want people at home to understand about this situation?

Jacqueline: We're going through it, it's difficult, I mean everybody is making their own abssum abssumptio, conclu assumptions

Trezell: Quietly to Jacqueline: assumptions

Jacqueline: you know, their own conclusions, they don't know any thing.

We don't,

we're not sure, exac,

 like everything, we're not sure,

we said what we knew,

and if anybody has seen them,

ugh or anything. please call the police department. ( near whispered "police department" with her head down)

Female reporter asks: Could you guys provide pictures if you have any do you have any? more recent photos?(paraphrased by me)

Jacqueline:  I have older pictures, all my newest were on my phone.

Male Reporter:

...what kind of boys are these? tell us about the boys.

Trezell: almost jumps as he says, they're playful, they're rambunctious, and they, they do love to wrestle, they do kind of like to get rough with each other.

Jacqueline interjects: They're kids.

Trezell: nods: they're kids...

Of course they would love to go out, but we were- but so- during the pandemic, we wasn't tryin to go, you know, out, here. And so we stayed inside

Auntie asks: did you guys ever go out and search?

T and J answer together: yes, yes we did. yes, That's what I'm sayin'

Auntie: what time did they come up missin'?

Trezell: They came up missing right before it got dark, then we called I, I, I searched our property, I even drove around the whole, this neighborhood right here, I even talked to a gentleman on that side, on one of those streets over there, I said did you see my, did you see some little black kids?

Male voice from the crowd, asks: "so you drove that way?"

Trezell: that's the direction I was gonna come but when I came back home, I decided to call the cops cause it was dark.  They couldn't have got away that fast!

Aunt interrupts and asks why they would leave them out side, "when there was 2 of you to watch them." It gets a little heated,

Trezell counters her with, they were in the back yard, I left the gate open,

Reporter asks: Jacqueline, as a mother, your intuition, you said you feel like they're in this area,...what do you think happened to your boys? Do you think someone took them? do you think they're lost?

Jacqueline: yeh I definitely, know they're not walking around, they're not that kind, they're, they do not, just roam around, you know, these patches, they definitely, I think, definitely, would have been picked up or something

Trezell: That's, that's my assumption

Female 1 (same female as before) from the crowd, off camera, asks: have they taken off from the yard before?

Trezell and J answer together: No. Nope

Female: they've never taken off on you before?

T and J: no!

female(2) : you guys are new to cal city right?

T and J answer: yep,

female(2) : how long have you guys been living here?

T: just 3 months

Biological Father: ya'll say ya'll went looking for them kids and y'all got neighbors say you ain't even come out here looking for no kids!

J: we we,

T: the neighbors weren't out here

J: we were looking,

T: we were lookin'

Bio Father: yeh, I'm just saying brother, that's crazy man I got kids of my own, them little boys was raised with my Biological family, I don't leave kids outside,.. a 3 and 4 year old?

Jacqueline: blurts: where do you live?

Trezell: I understand, they were outside in the back yard and I was watching them

Auntie: I have 9 kids and I- there's no way I'm gonna  leave my kids unattended not even for a minute

Another male(#2) possibly a biological relative:

...3 and 4 year olds,? like, you sit here, you sit here, where's your heart bro? you don't look like you're worried man! you too calm bro you acting like nothin' happened you don't make no sense

Jacqueline interjects:  we get that! we get it!

we feel it!

Auntie: okay ya'll know ya'll fixin' to go inside the house right? ya'll are foster parents, right?

T: no we're adoptive parents

A: okay ya'll adopted them, okay,

shut the gate!

go in the house,

why did it take both of ya'll to go in the house, and leave them outside by theyself?

T: I understand

A: and ya'll know the gate was open!

 male #2

A Male: why haven't ya'll been out here looking with the people that's out here looking for them?

J: frustrated mumbles we're, oh my goodness...

we already said that

T: we all ready said, we all ready told it on camera

J: we already said that,

Auntie: sad angry yelling: I didn't see no cameras last night!,

T: no

A: sad angry yelling: I didn't even see y'all out here prayin' with them people

Ya'll supposed to take care of my nephews!

Not this! this is Not supposed to happen!

T: I understand,

A: Ya'll are supposed to take care of my nephews!

T: I understand

Reporter interrupts, prompting: for those who's  watching at the moment who knows anything or, or, if you, or somebody who has these kids, if they're watching, what is your message to them?

T: the message has always been, as mu'.. as, as soon as possible, call the California City Police Department, and please bring our babies home, and that's that

J: that's one of the reasons why we actually didn't want to do this

T: this is the reason why

J: the bio families

T: we were under orders to stay in the house, and stay because they're gonna need to contact us, and we could not, we could not go out side, and that was the issue, and that was the issue, we were under orders, by the cops to stay home in the house, and let the, let the professionals look,

female1: but you just said that they was your children, if they were your children regardless of what somebody told you, wouldn't you want to go look for them?

T: well we had cops actually posted in the front door right there

female1:  you know how cold it is at night? (inaudible)

T: we totally understand,

J: we totally understand, If you guys please, if you guys actually have that question you should ask the police officer

female1:  I'm just looking at this situation but do you see how it seems? It's that

J: yes

T: yes

female1: it's that the kids was left unattended and you guys went in the house and then the kids disappeared.

it's just weird

Auntie: off camera, repeating 2 or 3 times, something about

why'd THIS person call the police?

T:  to female1: exactly, and that's what we're tryin to figure out

female1:  No!, How? It doesn't make sense? How did they disappear? how did they go out? you guys had the house supervised already and my question is why were they the only 2 children outside? where were the rest of the kids?

T: rest of the kids were with grandma

female1: with who?

T: they left, they went on vacation

female1:  so they(Orrin and Orson) didn't?

T: no, because they're too young, we watched them, and it turns out that, ...that happened.

female 2 is buying none of it! asks again yelling angrily and  loudly "why did THIS person call the police?" (possibly also said: My great nephew!)

J: taking control of the situation: please!... of course,...

Reporter interrupts: please just quickly before we forget, the spelling of both your names first and last both of you guys

Auntie: shouts through her pain, No fucking emotion! None!

Trezell to reporter: So, ugh, shuuzzz, say that again?

R: just first and last names

T: ugh spelling of who or what?

R uh spelling of just your first and last name

J: our names. sure sure…

T: Trezell West is T R E Z E L L, West

R: West?

T: yes

R: to Jacqueline, and uh for you?

J: J a c q u e l i n e,

R: say that again

J: j a c q u e l a/i? n e

R: West?

J: Yes

reporter female: I guess we'll let you go, sorry about all the... (Inaudible)

Trezell and Jacqueline, return to their house and the crowd buzzes with crying, sobbing,  and sounds and words of anger and disbelief.

This is the one and only time the adoptive parents have made any kind of public statement about the missing boys.

 What is your impression?

Were they being deceptive?

Dose it seem like they hurt the children?

Are the biological family involved with the disappearance, as some speculate could be the case?

Next I'll look at the patterns of deception and the out right lies:

I took a course with Paul Eckman several years ago and passed with a 98% accuracy on the first try, and it saved my life, to know that what I felt were lies, were actually lies, so I'm going to do my own take on it. It's just opinion based on observation, and pattern recognition. Many other analysts have done forensic examinations of the statement, and some body language experts have chimed in as well. I don't know how deeply they observed the interview before giving their analysis, to make a guest appearance on a youtube video. I do know I've watched so many times, it's a part of me now. :(

Hear me out, just trying to make sense of it all.....

Where are the boys?
