Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a complex mental health condition that typically involves a grandiose or inflated sense of self and an extreme need for admiration and attention, among other symptoms.
People with NPD or narcissistic tendencies sometimes show a pattern of manipulative, controlling behavior that involves both verbal abuse and emotional manipulation.
Common types of narcissistic manipulation include:
- Triangulation. Someone using this tactic will try to pull a third person into your conflict, typically to reinforce their own opinion or position.
- Gaslighting. Someone trying to gaslight you tries to get you to doubt your own perspective and reality, often by twisting facts or insisting things you remember didn’t actually happen.
- Hoovering. This tactic involves attempts to reconnect, or pull you back into a toxic or abusive relationship.
- Silent treatment. This behavior becomes manipulative when someone purposely ignores you to control you or make you feel isolated.
- Scapegoating. Parents who use narcissistic manipulation may place all the blame on one child they designate as a scapegoat.
- Passive aggression. Indirect blame-shifting, sabotage, and sarcasm can all point to covert narcissistic manipulation.
These tactics can confuse you, make you question your sense of reality, and damage your self-esteem.
Narcissistic victim syndrome is a term that collectively describes the specific and often severe effects of narcissistic manipulation. While this isn’t a recognized mental health condition, many experts acknowledge narcissistic abuse can have a serious, long lasting impact on mental health.
Keep in mind that abuse and narcissism aren’t always related. A diagnosis of NPD doesn’t automatically translate to abusive behavior, and many people who engage in abuse don’t have NPD.
Regardless, a mental health diagnosis never excuses abusive behavior. People choose to abuse and manipulate others, and it’s possible to live with traits of narcissism, or any personality disorder, without becoming abusive.

with due respect, and I do respect you. You went after carl for his video on the kids, his allegations about the lack of proper protection in the midst of a missing female child case. He had a point. It wasn't about you. The person holding the camera was definitely not safeguarding those young girls, when I tell you it was triggering me I am dead serious. Children don't "go missing" and win a trip to Disney world, it's a real thing, they also rarely go missing at the hands of people strolling down the avenue whistling a happy tune, it is calculated and collated with info gathering et al, by a divisive mind with bad intent. . If you've ever watched Carl consistently you know he's gonna throw in the conspiracies, no one is required to believe any of it. I've told him plenty of times I don't believe all that, but on a certain level in the big realm of possibilities, it exists in some form, or it would not be, being transmitted to you/us/him. My ex, the father of my children died on me one normal day, laughed at one of my jokes, and choked on his own saliva. Laying there on the floor with a smile, and his eyes wide open, just smiling at me. I'm screaming at him to come back, crying, don't you leave me, you bastard!! My youngest was 3, and he's in a panic, crying, squealing, pacing the floor, wondering why is mom beating the crap out of dad, and he's just smiling and not moving??? My instinct didn't even tell me to dial 911, it told me to get him back, and I did that. He came back with that stupid smile on his face and it has been fixed there since. I have suffered from the experience, unable to sleep next to him for years without keeping track of his breathing. His "beyond the veil experience", was not the same as yours, not even similar. Other than he has no fear of his mortality.

I watched the launch from my house in central FL, 30 miles from the coast, just north of Cape Canaveral, standing on the hill of the I-4 overpass under the stars with the neighbors, big thriller! We went back in the house adjusted the rabbit ear antennas sitting on the big wooden box console TV, which was black and white BTW, it was July '69, and hot as hell. We turned on the Box fans and opened all the windows to try to get some air in the house. The man on the TV said smoke a cigarette, it's good for you when you're nervous (I was a very nervous child). And the pretty lady on the TV reminded me to worry about my pepsodent smile. My teeth were always too big for my mouth, like Carly Simon teeth but also crooked, I got teased endlessly for my goofy smile until it became my beautiful smile! I'd beg my father for braces, he'd just laugh and say, "money don't grow on trees", and I'd think, men walked on the moon! surely some how some way, I can eventually graduate to ultra bite toothpaste and have sex appeal!!! there must be a way to grow a money tree? surely I do not have to suffer the slings and arrows of crooked teeth, and squash all my future chances at romantic love, they make me look like a rabbit, and chew my food with my mouth open, for which, I will inevitably get a smack on the back of the head, chancing the propulsion of food from my open, chewing, pie hole, across the long ass table to the person opposite me. A dentist once told me I had "an embarrassment of teeth" and I panicked, he said, "no, it means, like, an over abundance, ya got got big teeth lady! a full compliment".
Back at the living room, the phone on the wall rings, it's past dinner and before bedtime... must be family. The phone on the wall with the 2 ft cord, wrapped in woven fabric, the phone that you would pick up to dial out occasionally, and hear the lady down the road talking to someone, about something, and you'd have to, politely hang up and wait a while to try and call out again. If you had waited for a long time or it was an emergency it was perfectly okay to ask for the line.

My baby sister was born on the day they splashed down, July 24 1969, she was dubbed the splash down baby. Weird astrology numbers game...I have a friend I've known for most of my life, was born the same day, same year, July 24 1969. I conceived my youngest son on her birthday, 1999, after the party and some strawberry margaritas. My youngest son's due date would fall on my oldest son's birthday (do the maths!) wtf? My oldest son is 15 years older than the youngest. My younger brother is 5 years younger than me, his birthday was July 24, 1964. My first boyfriend's birthday was on April 13, same as my youngest. My mother's birthday in April, my Father's birthday in July.... I see patterns, are they important? I don't know...it's just mystery, lovely little synchronicities. Until I know better.
I'm not required to "believe" anything I "hear", I was raised as a "believer" in a very religious household with so many contradictions that were never discussable. Like so God kicked Adam and Eve out of the Garden and placed angels with flaming swords at the gates....Um the age of iron and steel forgery was many thousands Or hundreds of thousands, of years in the future, so God was holding back on us from the start, making things difficult, and playing games of chance with his creations. for sure!
I can take a good close look at it until a Cumberland Gap sized question mark goes away or gets swept under a rug somewhere, so as not to pester. Doesn't make me crazy. It's how my mind works. What used to be called the gift of sight, was not much more than a person who could "see" the many possible paths, and pair them with your many possible reactions, and behavior patterns and successfully predict what is most probable to happen next, and always with the caveat, that no path is set in stone, you can walk with caution, and avoid disaster....the Wizened ones, The Seers, the prophets, the shamans. No magic, we know better than that, do we not?! Every God Damned thing under the sky has an answer other than "us", "life", atoms, cells, the things that "MATTER", the way that a spark of energy burning for "billions upon billions" of years, somehow morphed into all of this??? THINKING! and CARBON. Sentient beings and everything they need to survive, It's a "mystery". ...

Ancient eastern religions warning us of being attached to certain energies, which can be pervasive. Christians have demons. ...Manifestations of energy.
